About Us

PS 11, recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School in addition to being a New York State Reward school for 4 consecutive years, is now the #1 school in District 13!  Our students, teachers and parents have worked extremely hard to ensure that our students’ performance far exceeded New York City and State standards.  Our challenging curriculum and creative, innovative and collaboratively developed educational practices anchor our academic success.  Our curriculum is dedicated to educating the whole child as evidenced by our coding and robotics classes, horticulture program, arts and STEM experiences, fitness and wellness programs, as well as strong social and emotional learning initiatives.  We are growing in all the ways that will allow our students to be compassionate, informed and productive members of a global community.

The heart of the mission and vision of our school is that every child deserves a great school where every decision is made in the best interest of children.  The execution of that mission and vision depends heavily on the support of parents, the community, local businesses, our political leaders, nonprofit organizations, religious institutions and anyone else who is sincerely concerned with making a positive impact on the lives of children.
